Today the Complex allows us to trace the history of the development of St. Petersburg public transport since the beginning of the XX century.

The main advantage of the exhibition is its complete interactivity, almost all exhibits are genuine examples of technology from different eras. Each visitor can examine them, go inside and even ride a tram or trolleybus from the times of their grandmothers and great-grandmothers. The task of the Complex's employees is to preserve and update the historical monuments of ground public transport. Another important area of activity is to improve the culture of using urban electric transport, to form a positive attitude towards it through a story about the history of the development of tram and trolleybus traffic in Russia.

In recent years, the Complex has been rapidly gaining popularity and is receiving more and more visitors, and among them there are often not only residents of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region, but also visitors from other regions and foreigners. The role of the Complex in cultural life is also growing: since 2011, it has participated in the international action "Museum Night" and the festival of museum programs "Children's Days in St. Petersburg".
