Vladimir Dmitrievich Slovokhotov is the creator and artistic director of the theatre, who has managed to form a brilliant creative team of recognized artists and young talented actors. In addition to the main stage, the Theatre on Vasilyevsky has another stage platform – a Chamber stage in Maly Prospekt, 49. On this stage, the audience is offered a non-standard repertoire for adults and children with experimental projects.

The Theatre on Vasilievsky Island is a participant in many international festivals, its performances have been repeatedly marked with prestigious theatrical awards. Today on its stage one can see adult and children's performances based on the works of famous playwrights, as well as solo performances and productions based on plays by contemporary authors.
