Tandoor
Subtle aromas of cloves, cardamom and turmeric whet your appetite and invite you to a bright and warm Indian evening. Enchanting music plays here, and the outlines of the Taj Mahal shimmer in the depths of the room. Bright mosaics sparkle on the walls and ceiling, tropical plants spread out along the windows, and the waiter already lights a candle on your table. This is how a meal at the Tandoor restaurant begins.
The Indian restaurant "Tandur" opened on the corner of Admiralteysky and Voznesensky Avenues back in 1994. Its owners, spouses Dhiraj Pratap and Ekaterina Svaitser, bought the establishment in 2009 from a good friend to realize their vision of what the oldest Indian restaurant in St. Petersburg should be like. They were frequent guests of "Tandur" and had enough experience in the hospitality industry to see the restaurant's enormous potential and begin to bring it closer to the intended ideal.
A team from India works in the kitchen and in the dining room of the Tandoor restaurant. Chef Rawat Kushal's chefs prepare varied and delicious food according to traditional, and sometimes family, recipes.
Guests are greeted like family. Hospitality is in the blood of Indians. Administrators and waiters will do everything to make your every visit to Tandoor pleasant and unforgettable.
Today, Tandoor is a landmark place in St. Petersburg, known to every connoisseur of Indian cuisine and culture.
It is better to book a table in advance. This way, you can choose the place where you will be comfortable enjoying the warm atmosphere and trying spicy, bright and unforgettable dishes.
