Imperial Porcelain Manufactory

#
Careful use of the heritage of the past, continuous development and constant renewal of artistic traditions remain an integral feature of the St. Petersburg porcelain school.

This can be seen in the works of artists I. Olevskaya, T. Afanasyeva and G. Shulyak, N. Petrova and O. Matveeva, M. Sorokin and S. Sokolov. Each of them developed their own unique porcelain style, creating products with the IPM (ИФЗ) brand, full of picturesque depth and emotional images. To this day, the Imperial Porcelain Factory remains a factory of high porcelain art.

According to the authoritative historian of Russian artistic culture Lyudmila Andreeva, Russian porcelain of recent decades is one of the living and creative phenomena of European artistic culture of the second half of the 20th century.

Russian porcelain has always been distinguished by subtle romanticism and an appeal to national culture in its entirety. These features have found their reflection in the largest projects of recent years, for example, in the series "Small Peoples of Russia", created in cooperation with the Russian Ethnographic Museum. Nevertheless, the Imperial Porcelain Factory also responds to the challenges of modernity and supports the current trend for practicality and environmental friendliness. Proof of this is the development of the IPM HOME sub-brand, which brings together porcelain for everyday use.
