The history of the "Small Drama Theatre" began more than 20 years ago. For a long time the theatre performed at various venues in St. Petersburg, but in 2015 the studio theatre settled in KIMa Avenue. 

Lev Borisovich Erenburg is the Artistic Director and founder of the theatre. The troupe of the theatre consists mainly of his former students, who continue their careers with their mentor even after the end of the course.

Today there are 22 productions in the repertoire of the "Small Drama Theatre", which were created either by L.B. Erenburg himself or by his pupils. Performances are staged in various genres, ranging from tragi-farce and drama to children's fairy tales and concerts. The theatre regularly participates in international festivals, and also goes on tour around Russia and other countries.
