Saint Petersburg Metro Museum (Interactive Center for the History of the State Unitary Enterprise "Petersburg Metro") is a departmental museum opened in 2005 and dedicated to the history of Petersburg Metro. The museum collection was created due to the efforts of metro workers and a group of creative masters. The main part of the collection consists of various documentary materials about the early stages of the creation of the metro in Saint Petersburg and its main prerequisites, various types of control booths, driver's cabins and much more. The museum preserves the history of the metro from different years - medals, cups, keys, station projects, as well as an LED metro map. Visitors can experience real subway driver's cab, the workplace of a station attendant, and visualize the arrangement of underground railway tracks. The museum also has its own cinema, where the newsreels and video materials dedicated to the metro are available.
The museum does not provide individual admission. You must pre-register for the tour.
